"The world, indeed, is like a dream and the treasures of the world are an alluring mirage! Like the apparent distances in a picture, things have no reality in themselves, but they are like heat haze." ~Budda Giclee Print 19x30

Sinai
Sinai

There are moments in Sinai where one feels as if the history of all the world can be read in its stones. The land here is a monument to the antiquity of life on Earth. All three of the West's great religious traditions--Judaism, Christianity, and Islam--know Sinai as a holy land, a vast expanse that traversed time and again by prophets, saints, pilgrims, and warriors. Sinai is most familiar to many as the "great and terrible wilderness" through which the Israelite' wandered for forty years.

The Enchanted Forest
The Enchanted Forest

He was gone. With shaky legs, ignoring the fact that my action was useless, I followed him into the forest. The evidence of his path had disappeared instantly. There were no footprints, the leaves were still again, but I walked forward without thinking. I could not do anything else. I had to keep moving. If I stopped looking for him, it was over. Love, life, meaning...over. anonymous

“In every block of marble I see a statue as plain as though it stood before me, shaped and perfect in attitude and action. I have only to hew away the rough walls that imprison the lovely apparition to reveal it to the other eyes as mine see it"                            Micheal Angelo

Many times when I paint,  I see images and figures appear in the paint almost as if calling on me to bring them forward into view. These paintings asked to be born.
